Parents and Friends

Dear families,

Thanks to those who came along to the P&F Meeting last Wednesday. There was some great discussion about fundraisers and events planned for Term 1 and Term 2.

We have also welcomed a a member of our school community into the role of President - read below for more information about the P&F Committee members.

A reminder that orders for the Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser close on Friday 8 March 2024 at 4pm.  All orders are to be placed via CDF Pay. This is a great fundraiser where we will make $2 for every pack sold.

Thank you to families who have already placed their orders.  Please advise if you can assist in packing hot cross bun orders - see information below.

The P&F are starting to organise the Mother’s Day Stall for 2024, where we provide gift options for students to pre-order and purchase to gift on Mother’s Day.

Do you have a business or make items that may be a suitable gift option for the Stall?

We would like to support local businesses in our school community.

Get in contact with the P&F via parentsandfriends@sbshepparton.catholic.edu.au to discuss further.

Jacklyn

Secretary

National Ride2School Day

Wednesday, 20th March 2024

The P&F is supporting the school to encourage students, where possible, to travel to school in an active way on Ride2School Day, Wednesday 20 March 2024.

National Ride2School Day is normally held on Friday 22 March, this is the same date as our Harmony Day celebrations, so we have planned to celebrate a few days early.

National Ride2School Day is the perfect opportunity for students and school communities across Australia to embrace a healthier start and to try riding and walking to school for themselves.

Parents are encouraged to accompany their children, especially those who do not regularly actively travel to school.

Check out the ‘Ride ready checklist’ in the newsletter, plan the safest route to school including best locations to cross roads, especially when they are busy around school time.

For those students able to participate it is recommended for helmets and bikes/scooters to be labelled with the students name and class.

A secure site at school will be set up for students' equipment to be stored for the day.

If you cannot participate on the day, think of how you can get active the next time you are outdoors!

Please find the below attachments with full details.
