STEM News

Michaela Patel

Welcome to another year of exciting STEM lessons at CSPS. This year, all students from Prep - Year 6 will be participating in weekly lessons. The focus in our lessons will be learning to work together to solve problems, learning and using newly learnt science knowledge, and exploring the world of digital technologies through coding, robotics and lego.

Preps Stepping into STEM

Our littlest engineers have leapt into learning how to work with others to solve construction challenges. It has been wonderful to see how the children are getting to know their new classmates and willingly inviting others to join their group.

Science Talent Search

The theme for this year’s Science Talent Search is Species Survival: More Than Just Sustainability. Next week, Ms Patel will hold a meeting for all students in Year 2-6 who are interested in finding out about how to participate in this statewide competition.  Talk to your child over the weekend about any interest they may have in science experiments, writing a science fiction story, creating a scientific photo story, or making a science board game or computer game.

If you have any questions about our school STEM program, contact Ms Patel.
