Year 9 City Experience

On the 29th, 30th and 31st of May, the year 9 students embarked on the City Experience!

Students had to navigate their way around the city using their GPS and following a daily schedule. Students enjoyed activities such as The Old Melbourne Gaol, Street art tours led by Melbourne street artists who shared their extensive knowledge of the history of art and gentrification in Melbourne. The NVG, where students looked at art and sculptures and engaged with the culture within Melbourne. Hollows Attendance

At HPSC, we recognise that consistent attendance is an important factor to achieve academic success. Striving for a 95% attendance rate, we aim to ensure that all students benefit from the full range of educational opportunities available. Regular attendance not only helps students keep up with their studies but also fosters a sense of community and belonging, essential for personal and social development. By maintaining high attendance, students are better positioned to achieve their academic goals, participate in extracurricular activities, and build the skills necessary for future success.

The following students are currently on 100% attendance for 2024:

Learning Habits

Students are frequently assessed on their learning habits through various criteria designed to promote personal and academic growth. These reports focus on their ability to pursue excellence, reflecting their commitment to achieving high standards in their work. They are evaluated on how effectively they use feedback for learning, demonstrating their capacity to reflect on and improve their performance. Collaboration for learning is another learning habit, where students are assessed on their ability to work productively with peers. Students' behaviour for learning is monitored, ensuring they create and maintain a positive learning environment.
