Mr. Carlyle's Message

Hello families and welcome to this week’s newsletter.

Parents and Friends club

is in need of new members.   We will be meeting on Wednesday the 13th of March at 9:15 in the Junior Building.  We don't mind how much time you can offer throughout the year, we are just looking for extra support.   We have some big ticket items this year with our schools 150th celebrations in Term 4, the school colour run later in the year, as well as our pie drive and other fundraisers.   The PFG and Canteen have raised thousands of dollars that have gone toward capping the costs for school camps and excursions,  ensuring a new uniform item for every child, supplying a new sports uniform for the school, and much much more.  Even if you can help out just once this year, that would be great.   Come along and say hi on the 13th.

Maths Night

Our annual event is back, clear your calendars because this is the night all parents speak of as a highlight.  If you have not been before this is a fun and interactive night where families and students join in with math puzzles, and problem-solving challenges that pit children against parents, or require teamwork to complete.   No math night is complete without prizes and a whole lot of smiles.   Food trucks will be on site as well so families can grab a bite to eat on the way in, or on the way home.  This event once again will be hosted in the Junior building, and doors will open at 5:30pm sharp.

Plug this one in, last year our turn out was phenomenal, and we want to spread the word to all the new families.  See you there.

School Council Elections

We are seeking new parent members, so I am putting the call out for those who would like to be a part of our awesome School Council.  This group has been instrumental in driving many of the changes we have seen over the past few years, and new members bring new perspectives.   If you are at all curious, please take the time to read information supplied.  Link

Healthy Lunch Box Choices and Nude Food

Please help reduce waste in our school by packing 'Nude Food' (food without excess packaging) and whole foods or unprocessed foods in your child's lunch box.  Click here for further resources and 'Healthy Lunch Box' suggestions or to download the Pick and Mix poster for the fridge!
