SWIMMING CARNIVAL

On Monday 19 February we held our annual swimming carnival. A massive thank you to the staff and to all the parents helpers for your support on the day. The weather was not on our side for the whole day and I would like to thank everyone for 'going with the flow'.

Congratulations to Thomas McDougall who broke the Senior boys 100m Freestyle with a time of 1.10.50, 50 m Butterfly with a time of 34.63 and 200m Individual Medley record with a time of 2.57.78. The medley record was a 22 year old record.

BASKETBALL

Teams for the Term 1/2 Basketball competition have now been entered and you should have received an email on how to register. You will not be able to take the court until you are registered. This is for children in Years 3-6 only. The draw will be released on the Tamworth Basketball Facebook page each week so keep an eye out.

 

For children in Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2 there is an option to join Aussie Hoops which is a skills-based program.  It is on a Tuesday afternoon and children can register by clicking on the link below.

AFL

This term we were lucky enough to receive a Sporting Schools Grant for AFL. In the coming weeks all children will be participating in an AFL session with development officers from the local area.
