"Many Wolves .... One Pack"

Term 1 - Week 5

Welcome to Week 5,

On Monday evening members of our school community came together for the Parents, Teachers and Friends (PT&F) Annual General Meeting. The meeting was an opportunity to highlight the wonderful work of this body in 2023 who brought our school community closer together and raised significant funds for the Primary Engine Room.

During the meeting, the 2024 Committee was also elected. An enormous thank you and congratulations to:

  • President: Hana Skilton (Elijah 5M and Sebastian 3T)
  • Vice President: Michelle Drury (Nate 5M and Oscar 3I)
  • Secretary: TBA
  • Treasurer: Leanne Cannon (Lily 5W, Georgia 3I and Ruby KH)
  • School Advisory Council Rep: Rebecca Johnson (Madeline 6H and Eli 4B)

I ask that parents please support the executive as they work tirelessly to help our students.

Year 6 Leadership Day

This Monday I have the pleasure of accompanying our Year 6 elected leaders to the Halogen Young Leaders Day in Sydney. The students will have the opportunity to learn from some outstanding leaders as they look to develop their own leadership capacity.

At St Nicholas we understand that all Year 6 students are leaders, so I am delighted with the agenda our teachers have created to support those children not attending Sydney’s conference.

I look forward to sharing with you highlights of both events in next week's newsletter.

Colour Run

Today your children should have received information and promotional material about our annual Colour Run. This wonderful community event also doubles as our major fundraiser for 2024. Funds that go directly back to our students, currently directed to the Senior Engine Yard:

Please mark down Friday 22nd March in your diaries and support this fantastic event that brings joy and laughter to school our community!

Have a great week

John Clery
