Swimming
On Wednesday the 28th of February the swimming team went to compete at East Keilor Leisure Centre. Some of the events were butterfly, freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, 4x50 freestyle relay, and medley. Some highlights were Henry for coming second in butterfly, The girls freestyle relay team coming 2nd. The girls freestyle relay also came 3rd at divisionals. Anna came 1st in butterfly and 2nd in breaststroke at the district competition. Anna will be competing at regionals for butterfly on the 26th of March. Henry for coming 3rd in backstroke, the boys freestyle relay team for coming 4th out of 8 schools, Levi for coming 2nd freestyle and for all the others who tried their best. A special thanks to all the parents and teachers for helping out with the swimming competition.

Cricket gala day report
On the 23rd of February and the 1st of March, we competed in the district cricket gala day. We played schools such as Strathmore North, Essendon North, Strathmore, Niddrie, Moonee Ponds and Essendon. Aberfeldie won 11 out of 12 games and won the grand final. Aberfeldie will now move on to divisionals. We thank the parents and teachers for helping and supporting us. Especially Michael and Sam for organising the cricket gala day and making it the best day for our term 1.

Softball Gala Day Report
On the 23rd of February and the 1st of March at Fairbairn Park, the Aberfeldie Softball Team competed against the schools in our district in the EDPSSA Softball Competition. The teams we played against were Essendon, Strathmore North, Strathmore, Niddire and Essendon North. Our school won one game. The softball team had a great time and a big thank you to the parents and teachers for supporting and helping the team out the whole way through.

Volleyball Week 1 Report:
On the 23rd of February, the volleyball team took action at the gala day. We played a lot of tricky schools! Some of the schools were; Strathmore, Essendon, Niddire and St Monica’s.
Everyone played an amazing game and put in heaps of effort! Some of the highlights were: Isla Z for her amazing serving and Levi H for his great sportsmanship. Everyone played fairly and kept being positive towards their teammates.

Volleyball Report Day 2
On the 1st of March we competed in the District Volleyball Gala Day. We played played against all the schools in our district.
We spoke to Gaby and she thought that some of the highlights were, Harper for showing great sportsmanship by being supportive and cheerful, even when we didn’t win the point! Crystal because she tried her best by always going for the ball.

Tennis gala day report
On the 23rd of February and the 1st of March we competed against schools in our district. Some of the schools were Essendon North, Moonee Ponds and Niddire PS. We spoke to Harryand Amy about the day. They said, Nico showed good sportsmanship by shaking his opponents hands after the game. Abby for her excellent skills and for being respectful and kind to her opponents. We won 5 out 10 games and would like to congratulate the tennis team on their outstanding efforts. A big thank you to the parents and teachers for their support and coaching throughout the event.
