Level 3

Welcome Back and Positive Start
Level 3 have had a fantastic start to school!
Students have been participating in the 'positive start program' where they have been getting to know their class, making new friends, setting up their books/the classroom and revising expectations for the year.
We have also been looking closely at the school values and participating in respect, teamwork, resilience and growth themed activities.

Contact us
If you need to contact your child's teacher please make an appointment to meet with us by either phoning the school or emailing us through Compass. We value having strong partnerships with families and are happy to take the time to meet with you to address any questions or concerns you may have.
Homework
Homework will officially start in Week 4. Initially homework will be 20 mins of reading a day and 5-10 mins of practising spelling words a day. Later in the term, a mental maths homework activity will be added to the week's homework. For now, please ensure your child is reading every night and filling it in their journal.
Home readers
In Year 3 and beyond, home readers are a free choice book from home/library. Please ensure your child is reading for at least 20 mins a day and it is recorded in their journal. Please contact your child's teacher if in need of some ideas or assistance in finding books appropriate for your child's reading level.
Have a great week!
