Principal's Report

Welcome Back to School!
We are delighted to welcome everyone back for another fantastic school year! Our Grade 1-6 students had a wonderful first day, and it was great to see such a settled and enthusiastic start in all classrooms. A special welcome to our Prep students, who began their primary education journey today—it is always such a special day with lots of emotion attached and it was wonderful to see them settle in so well.
Newsletter Update
This year, we are making a slight change to our newsletter schedule. It will now be distributed fortnightly, alternating with our school assembly, which will take place every second week at 2:45 pm. We hope this allows for a more streamlined flow of communication and celebration of student achievements.
Welcome to Our New Support Staff
We are excited to introduce and welcome our new support staff: Leisa Mackenzie, Oliver Morris, Makayla Watts, and Aggie Minne. We look forward to working with you and having you as part of our school community.
Parish Priest
We are delighted to welcome Fr Boniface as our new Parish Priest and look forward to his arrival in our parish community. We pray that his time with us will be blessed with joy, faith, and shared fellowship as he begins this new chapter of his ministry.
At the same time, we wish Fr Minh all the best as he moves to his new appointment in Kerang and Cohuna, we wish him every blessing and success in his continued journey of faith. May both Fr Boniface and Fr Minh be guided by God’s wisdom and grace in their ministries.
School Advisory Council
Seeking New Members. We are looking for new members to join our School Advisory Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents and community members to be involved in the leadership and future direction of our school. The council meets once per term, and we encourage anyone interested to reach out as soon as possible.
Diocese of Sandhurst ‘Magnify’ Project
The Diocese of Sandhurst launched the ‘Magnify Sandhurst. Magnify Sandhurst combines evidence-based practices in teaching and learning to support each student's unique needs, strengths, and goals. The Magnify program focuses on strengthening core areas like literacy and numeracy, building supportive classroom environments, and integrating Catholic values in daily learning. We are committed to improving outcomes and providing a program where every student can flourish, inspired by the mantra, "Every Student, Every Teacher, Every School, Every Day!"
Parents and Friends
Late last year our P&F met and have scheduled many different social and fundraising events for the year. We are looking forward to an open classroom welcome night on Tuesday 18th February. A little later than anticipated, however we hope to avoid next week’s heat and provide an informal opportunity for families to visit the school and see where the children spend their day.
Learning conversations
We look forward to beginning the year with our learning conversations for all children. This is a great opportunity to check in and set goals for the year. It is a wonderful chance to meet the teachers and establish a positive partnership as we enter a new year. Bookings are online and will be opened tonight.
We look forward to a wonderful year ahead, filled with learning, growth, and community spirit. Thank you for your continued support!
