Take Home and Library Books
All take home readers need to be returned by the end of next week - Friday 13 December. Please check your bookshelves to ensure that all school books, including library books are returned. A reminder for Prep, Year Ones and Year Twos to store their red book bags for next year and all other students store their blue bags for library borrowing next year.
Holiday Reading
A reminder that over the holidays you can still have fun in the sun or inside by reading! To help you, Yarra Plenty Regional Libraries are once again offering The BIG Summer Read. What is the Big Summer Read? Over the summer school holidays, students can experience something called the ‘summer slide’, which refers to the loss of literacy skills when they do not read. This could be months of progress. The Big Summer Read aims to slow the slide by encouraging students and their families to join a fun and dynamic statewide reading campaign.
