Prep C

It has been wonderful to see Prep C delve into their learning with enthusiasm and excitement in all areas of learning. This term in Reading and Writing, we have been exploring Narratives, focusing on Parts of a Story. In Reading, we have looked at many fairytales, stories and short films to unpack the character, setting, problem and solution using a graphic organiser. We then unpacked the beginning, middle and end of a story in Writing and transferred the information from our graphic organisers, to create our very own stories. Prep C even had the opportunity to act out their stories in front of the class and they were FANTASTIC! 

In Inquiry, we have been investigating different forms of communication. In Prep C we have created our own class gestures that we use to communicate with one another. First, we unpacked our whole school approach of Talk Moves and what they meant, then we brainstormed words we use on a daily basis and came up with ‘Whole Body Listening’, ‘Drink Water’, ‘Toilet’, ‘Happy’, ‘Sad’ and ‘Love’.
