WOAH, what a way to wind down term three. The term has been full of thrilling events and activities. Through poems all the way to successful and spirited debating tournaments. Everyone is buzzing with excitement in the wait for Term Four.

 

Sports: Students have been actively engaged in various sports throughout the term . One of the biggest achievements for this term is the upcoming basketball round robin. A big congratulation to all that were selected and well done to all participants and a huge thanks to the teachers for going through the selection process.

 

Academics: The past few weeks have been an eventful time for our GWPS learners. Hope you all did great with the ICAS assessment tasks and wishing you all the best with your results.

 

Extracurricular activities: There were many enriching events that have taken place this term including the Year 6 camp and lots of excursions and incursions. In terms of the Year 6 Camp - It was great to see the whole Year 6 cohort improve their skills through fun learning activities. It was so much fun and there were many takeaways. I am sure we all appreciate the teachers for making the amazing experience possible.

 

Achievements: There were many outstanding achievements from our highly talented community. First off all I would like to congratulate Saheli for winning the inter school poem competition and Kimaya for being the runner up. GWPS community is so proud of you and well done to all participants. Thanks to Bev Peacock from Glen Waverly Rotary Club for going through the selection process and for supporting our school.  In addition, congratulations to Veer for competing in two karate competitions and winning the first place in both – wow, how amazing is that! .

 

Upcoming Events: Looking ahead, we have several exciting events planned for this term and the next. This is including the School Captain selection process, the Year Fives have already began refining their skills.

 

Finally, the last few weeks of Term 3 will be action packed with many fun activities. Let’s continue the hard work with our learning and extracurricular activities to complete the term on a high note.
