Prep

During Term three students in Prep have been learning names in Italian for body parts, greeting and how to count to ten in Italian. Prep students have developed their confidence with speaking and listening through stories, role-plays and games. Preps have used some rhythmic beats to sing simple chants and songs to practice their oral language skills.

During Term three, students from grades One and Two continued to gain confidence in speaking and listening to Italian via songs, role-plays, and games. In addition to concentrating on new greetings, adjectives, and counting to 30 in Italian. Chants, songs, and games have helped students acquire confidence in their oral output.

Students in grades Three and Four continued to utilise simple greetings, ask and reply to enquiries about themselves and others, and write short sentences. Students have been studying about the geography of Italy as well as how to communicate their likes and dislikes in Italian. Students in grades Five and Six continued to use greetings and ask and reply to questions regarding themselves during term three. They've started writing brief phrases regarding physical descriptions and expressing likes and dislikes. Students have additionally learned about Italy's geography and culture through research and the sharing of information from sources including books and websites.
