Beyond the Gates

The Carlton Football Club is excited to launch the Road to Respect school program.

Road to Respect is a free, digital learning platform for Grade 5 and 6 students and aims to inspire young people to develop positive and respectful future relationships.

With interactive and easy-to-follow tools and information, the platform helps students challenge pre-existing gender stereotypes, understand their emotions, and ask for help.

There are four key sessions for students to work through together, or at their own pace.

The sessions include:

  1.  Managing emotions
  2. Bullying and help-seeking
  3. Being a buddy and gender stereotypes
  4. Values and respect

In each session, students hear from Carlton Football Club AFL and AFLW players, complete activities on each topic and work through scenarios as part of a School Council Squad.
