Carlsruhe Annexe /

Main Campus - Year 4

Our third and final rotation of grades out at Carlsruhe occurred last week. CU3 are very excited to be back out at Carlsruhe and are enjoying getting reacquainted with the guinea pigs, meeting the new chickens and unleashing their creativity on cubby building and innovative enterprises. Meanwhile, CU1 are enjoying catching up with friends in other year levels and getting settled back into the Woodend Campus.

Tuesday Incursion

Next Tuesday 12th September, all Year 4s will spend the day out at Carlsruhe for a River Detectives incursion, to study the macroinvertebrates in our waterways. Students will participate in our monthly water testing from the Campaspe River, as well as looking at the variety of bugs in the water. Students will travel to and from Carlsruhe by bus as usual.

Drop off/pick up from Carlsruhe

Just a reminder that if you need to drop or pick your child up from the Carlsruhe campus, you need to please sign them in and out of school on the ipad in the main classroom. This ipad is linked to the Compass School Management system so will register them on the roll.

Gumboots

Even though the weather is starting to look up, it can still be quite muddy in the yard, particularly in the vegetable garden and chicken coop. If you could send along some gumboots for students to wear outside, this will hopefully save their shoes coming home muddy.

Thursday Activities

Our third round of Thursday activities will commence in Week 2 of Term 4. Thursday Activities are a highlight of the Carlsruhe experience and we rely on parent helpers to help us run the activities so please consider volunteering if you can when we put the call out.

Phillip Island Camp

Please mark in your diaries that our camp to Phillip Island is scheduled for November 29th - December 1st. Information about camp will be sent home before the end of term.
