What a week. From paper planes soaring across the hockey pitch to a standing-room auditorium ringing with laughter and applause, Wellness Week 2026 reminded us all why this community is something truly special.
The week kicked off with energy to spare. Students and staff alike launched paper planes in pursuit of glory, battled it out on the 3x3 basketball court, and laced up for the ever-competitive staff vs. students volleyball showdown. The longest kick competition drew its share of heroic efforts and humbling results in equal measure, while the disco had everyone on their feet. The Wellness Assembly brought a moment of reflection and connection, and the senior school BBQ, complete with live music was the kind of event that reminds you school life is about so much more than the classroom.
But let's be honest — we all knew where the week was heading...
College Has Got Talent has become something of an institution, and this year it delivered in spectacular fashion. A full auditorium set the stage for an unforgettable evening of slapstick comedy, a staff act that was — let's say charmingly catastrophic — soaring soloists, piano duets, bands, and a lumberjack act that truly defies explanation. It had to be seen to be believed.
When the dust settled and the judges had deliberated, the honours were awarded:

The competition was fierce, and every one of you brought something wonderful to the stage.
None of this happens without extraordinary people working tirelessly behind the scenes. My heartfelt thanks to Phoebe Baker and Zane Thomas, and the entire SRC team, whose vision, passion and sheer hard work brought the whole week to life.
To Zach Colliton, Henry Horne, Bowen Brown and Mitch Clode — your IT support was seamless and so deeply appreciated. And to Wendy Henderson and Ash Quinsey, whose behind-the-scenes contribution made the magic possible — thank you.
Wellness Week is a reminder that wellbeing isn't just one thing. It's movement and music, laughter and connection, competition and community. This year's week embodied all of that and more.
Here's to next year — though it's hard to imagine topping lumberjacks.
