P&C Update – Term 2 Week 6

Our P&C General Meeting was held recently, with lots of exciting updates to share!

Inclusive Playground Funding Success

We are thrilled to announce that we were successful in receiving a $5,000 grant from One Rail Australia’s Community Support Program to support our inclusive playground project. A huge thank you to Lauren for encouraging us to apply, Chantel for putting together the application, and Ms Montgomery for providing all of the supporting documentation required to make it happen.

As many families may already know, the P&C has also officially committed $100,000 towards the new inclusive playground project, working in partnership with the school to help bring this exciting project to life sooner. This has been a long-term goal for both the school and P&C, and we are excited to be working collaboratively to create an inclusive space where all children can play, connect and belong. We look forward to sharing more updates with our community as planning progresses.

Fundraising Subcommittee

As fundraising efforts continue to grow, we are looking to establish a Fundraising Subcommittee. These roles would involve behind-the-scenes support such as brainstorming ideas, helping organise events, writing social media posts, coordinating volunteer sign-ups and supporting our fundraising coordinators.

Mother’s Day Stall Success

Our Mother’s Day Stall raised an incredible $2,609.12 profit. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make the day possible, including parents, grandparents and members of Active OOSH. Your support allows events like this to happen for our students and families.

🍎 Canteen Update 🍎

The canteen has now returned to full operations, with orders available for both first and second break. Online orders through Spriggy Schools must still be finalised by 8:30am each day, with cash orders accepted before 9:10am.

A huge thank you to Jenny Seriese for stepping into the Supervisor role while Jen Hampton was on leave, as well as to our amazing volunteers who gave extra time to keep everything running smoothly. We’re also happy to welcome Jen back to her full-time Supervisor role, with Jenny returning to her Assistant role.

🧦 Silly Sock and/or Crazy Hair Day

Friday 26th June

Wear your silliest socks and/or craziest hair and bring along a gold coin donation to support our inclusive playground project.

👋 Kindy Expo

We’ll be attending the 2027 Kindergarten Expo on Thursday 11th June to meet new families and share information about the P&C and our canteen.
