On Wednesday, six students proudly represented Edgeworth Public School at the Inclusive Education Boccia Day. Although many members of the team had only played Boccia a few times before the event, they quickly developed their skills and demonstrated fantastic teamwork throughout the day.
The students showed determination, focus and enthusiasm in every game they played. In the final game of the day, the team achieved an outstanding score of 6 in one end. An incredible accomplishment and a highlight of the competition!
After a successful series of games, our team progressed through to the grand final to compete for 1st place. In a very close match, they were narrowly defeated by Cardiff South Public School, who took out the overall win for our pool.
All players should feel extremely proud of the talent, sportsmanship and positive attitude they displayed while representing our school. They were wonderful ambassadors for Edgeworth Public School, and we congratulate them on their fantastic achievement.

We are incredibly proud of Aylah M, who secured an impressive 1st place, and Elyse C, who finished a strong 2nd. Well done as well to Evelyn B, Garett S, Noah S, Daichi S and Aston C, who all gave their best and showed great determination throughout the event. Their dedication, effort, and sportsmanship reflect the true spirit of our school community.
Participating in such a competitive event is a fantastic achievement, and we commend all seven students for their commitment to training and representing Edgeworth Public School with pride.
Congratulations to Romaea M, who proudly represented Edgeworth Public School as a member of the Hunter region’s Basketball team at the Port Macquarie tournament last week.
