Parent Teacher Interviews
As we approach the end of the term, I would like to remind families that Parent-Teacher Interviews will be held next week. These interviews provide a valuable opportunity to celebrate your child's achievements, discuss their progress and learning goals, and strengthen the partnership between home and school.
If you have not already done so, please ensure you book a time with your child's teacher. We strongly encourage all families to attend, as these conversations play an important role in supporting every student's learning and development.
2026 Semester 1 Reports
Our first ever Semester 1 School Reports will be sent home to families via Compass next week. Earlier this year, as part of ongoing negotiations between the Australian Education Union (AEU) and the Victorian Government, union members undertook protected industrial action. While a principle agreement has now been reached between the parties, the industrial action relating to report comments remains in place at this time.
As a result, teachers at our school will not be providing written comments on student reports this semester.
Families will still receive important information about their child's learning and development through progression points and learning behaviours. These provide valuable insight into your child's achievement against curriculum expectations and their engagement in learning.
Our teachers remain deeply committed to supporting every student's learning and growth, and this action has not been taken lightly.

Respectful Behaviours within the School Community
When parents, carers and school staff work together as one team, our students do better. Everyone at school, including staff, parents and carers, plays a role in making school a better place for learning and work.
Parents, carers and school staff have a relationship that can last many years. This is an opportunity to work together to create a positive relationship in the best interests of your child. When this relationship is built on respect and trust, students learn better and feel like they belong in the school.
Every member of our school community has a right to feel safe, respected and protected. This includes staff, students, parents, carers and other families within our community. Being respectful to other parents and carers is also an important part of creating a positive and inclusive school environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.
The department’s Respectful Behaviours within the School Community Policy describes the positive behaviour expected from parents, carers, and other adults in Victorian school communities. The policy sets clear standards of behaviour to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for students, staff and adults.
There are also resources to support safe and respectful relationships in our school community, including information about getting involved in the school, advice on how to raise a concern or complaint, and parenting support resources. You can find the policy and these resources here.
