Intercollege Matches

Yesterday students participated in an afternoon of sport against WACOA Narrogin. We were fortunate with weather, managing to squeeze in games for AFL, Hockey, Netball, Volleyball and Basketball between the rains.

The camaraderie developing within teams and good sportsmanship occurring across all sports was great to see. Hopefully this can become an annual event to build on connections and cooperation between the Colleges.

Semester 1 Report Comments

Following consultation with staff and the College Board, we are discontinuing individual subject comments in student reports to focus on improving ongoing feedback. In line with our policy that reports should hold 'no surprises' for students or parents, staff will now prioritise continuous tracking and communication of individual student progress.

Upcoming Events

Country Week

Netball Girls
Netball Girls

Teams have been finalised by coaches and training ahead of Country Week, so any changes to your child's availability need to be communicated to Miss Sjollema with Monday 9th June being the final day for changes to teams. Information will be forwarded to parents regarding estimated final costs, transport arrangements and programs early next week. We have some great activities planned for the evenings as well team dinners and awards back at our accommodation.

A non-refundable deposit will need to be paid in coming weeks to cover costs of bookings, if students withdraw after Tuesday 10th June. Please also remind your child that they need to sign and return a copy of the College Expectations contract as soon as possible.

Week 10 Program

For those students not attending Country Week, the expectation is that they attend school as normal. The week will run on a modified program with students having two days in trades, two days on farm and one day on an Industry Tour with class staff. This is an excellent opportunity for Year 12 students to work on their major projects in Trades and progress towards completing their Certificates on farm.

Year 11 students are encouraged to utilise this time to complete practical observations and gain skills in a range of enterprises as they have mostly focused on theory thus far this year. It is also an excellent time to chat with staff about the additional Certificate II and IIIs that are offered at the College ahead of the application process in early Term 3.
