From learning the skills to work in the construction industry, to managing personal finances and budgeting, these programs are designed to provide valuable complementary skills that can lead to further employment opportunities after school.
Year 10 Nursing Workshop
On Tuesday, 3 June some of our Year 10 students participated in Health Science Hub's 2025 Career Taster program, designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the nursing field. All students had a wonderful day, just in time for them to consider their pathways before course counselling.
Certificate III in Music
As part of the students' industry experience, Anthony Price (Music Coordinator) recently spent time with the students in class to run through the importance of rolling a music lead correctly. Students learnt a valuable lesson that applying the correct technique prevents damage, ensures reliability, facilitates easy setup, promotes safety, and simplifies storage.
Year 12 Work Placement
During the exam break, Year 12 students Hallemia Jansen and Charli Ruane have enjoyed completing a Work Placement at Opal Health Care to gain a taste of the Aged Care industry. Students have had the opportunity to assist with nursing and care support, administration and lifestyle activities, whilst gaining practical skills and insights into the aged care sector.
