| Dear Foundation families, We would like to warmly invite you to join us for a Celebration of Learning in our classroom on Tuesday 17th June 2025! As part of our writing program, the students have been learning how to write simple sentences, and we’re excited to share this learning with you. During the session, your child will be practising writing a sentence about a special animal, and you’ll have the opportunity to see what a typical writing lesson looks like in our classroom. |

| Family Invitation – Come Celebrate Our Learning! Tuesday 17th June at 2:30 - 3:00 in our classroom We warmly invite you to our classroom to celebrate the wonderful nonfiction writing our students have been working on. As part of our “Places and Spaces” inquiry, students have written riddles about important places in the community — can you solve them? You’ll also have the chance to view the community display that the children helped create. We’d love for you to come and share in their learning journey! |

Year 3 | Information Reports - Animals | Our classrooms: 3A Room 21 3B Room 20 3C Room 23 | The Year 3 students invite their families to view their information reports. Students will be presenting their information reports and playing a True or False game based on their chosen animal from the report! |
Year 4 | Poetry - A list poem

| The Year 4 students are inviting their families and carers to view a quatrain poem they recently wrote during our Scaffolding Literacy unit of work focusing on 'Eyes in the Dark' by Kim Dale. Then, students with their family members/carers will work together to write a list poem, using lots of literary devices such as alliteration, descriptive adjectives, similes and humour. |
Year 5 | Our classrooms: 5A Room 7 5B Room 6 5C Room 5 | The Year 5 students will be showcasing their Information Report that they have been working on over the past few weeks. They have been writing like the Australian author Pete Cromer. They are excited to show off their work! | |
Year 6 | Our classrooms: 6A Room 4 6B Room 3 6C Room 1 | Dear families, We are excited to invite you to our Term 2 Celebration of Learning on Tuesday 17th June 2025. Our classrooms will be open from 2.30-3.00pm and we will be creating and sharing our learning from our Writing Unit - Information Reports. Pyjama Day
Junior School Council is excited to announce that we will be holding a Pyjama Day this term!
📅 Date: Wednesday, 2nd July
👕 What to wear: Your most comfortable pyjamas💰
What to bring: A gold coin donation
All money raised will go to State Schools’ Relief, a non-profit organisation that supports tens of thousands of disadvantaged children across Victoria by providing them with essential school items.
Let’s get cosy for a great cause!
PLEASE NOTE:
Students must only wear school appropriate pyjamas and shoes.
NO open toed shoes or slip-on slippers please.
Book Club
Book Club comes out twice a term. Please remember to clearly write your child's name and grade on their order form, place the form and money into an envelope and return to school by the due date.
