Junior Athletics

Our recent Junior School Athletics Day was filled with energy, excitement, and plenty of smiles! It was heartwarming to see our students trying new events, cheering on their classmates, and most importantly — having fun. From skipping ropes, to hurdles to novelty events with the parachute, every child gave their best and showed great team spirit.

A huge thank-you to all the teachers for their organisation and the parents and families who came along to support. Your encouragement on the sidelines and positive energy made the day even more special for the children. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the vibrant, supportive community we’re lucky to have.

High Ability Students Thrive in Statewide Online Learning Program

This term, our high ability students have continued to participate in an exciting online learning program designed to extend and challenge their skills in English and Mathematics. Delivered online, this initiative provides a different learning environment where students engage in deep learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving alongside like-minded peers.

Working in virtual classrooms, our students tackle complex texts, creative writing tasks, advanced mathematical concepts, and real-world problems—encouraging them to think beyond the standard curriculum. This enriching opportunity not only supports academic growth but also fosters collaboration, confidence, and a love of learning.

We are incredibly proud of their commitment and enthusiasm, as due to the timing of the sessions, they give up their recess or lunchtime.

Road hump installation

Brimbank City Council will be installing road humps on Hogan Street and Doherty Street. Construction is expected to commence this month. During this construction period you may be required to choose an alternate route to school. Please allow extra travel time for traffic disruptions, to ensure students are at school for the start of the school day.

Reminders:

Parking: please do not park in the drop off zone and leave your car. The council regularly patrol school zones and issue fines to those who are parked in the drop-off zone.

Swimming program: notes need to be completed, signed and returned to school as soon as possible

Parent/Teacher meetings- 1st July: book your meeting time with your teachers now using Compass.

Kind Regards,
