Division Cross Country
Yesterday, our outstanding runners took part in the Division Cross Country at Stony Creek Recreation Reserve. Each athlete gave their absolute best and demonstrated incredible determination. We're extremely proud of every one of them.
A special congratulations to Pheobe, Harlow H, Finn, Hunter, Chelsea, Kiara and Aiden C, who have qualified to compete at the Regional level on Thursday, 5th June!
COAL CREEK EXCURSION
On Wednesday, the junior students travelled to Coal Creek Historical Park to explore times long past. They attended a lesson at the school, took tours of the buildings, and explored the general store. The highlights of the day were the school lesson, where students wrote with slate and ink, and the visit to the general store, where Perry entertained us with interesting stories about the products inside.
F-2 SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY
On Thursday morning, students in 1/2 had special friends come and visit them in their classrooms. Special friends and students did portraits of each other. They also listened to this year's National Stimultaneous Storytime book, 'The Truck Cat,' and then adapted the story with their own ideas. It was lovely to see so many of our students' special people and see them enjoying some of our learning together.
