Principal's Message

Ms Grace Carlo-Stella

Dear Parents and Carers,

Book Week was a remarkable success, filled with moments of joy, creativity, and community spirit. The excitement was palpable as students eagerly shared their favourite stories and brought their beloved book characters to life. The highlight of the week was undoubtedly the Book Character Parade, where imagination knew no bounds. From classic heroes to modern favourites, our students dazzled us with their costumes.

A special thank you goes out to Mrs Michele Balogh-Cristo, whose dedication to Book Week ensured it was a wonderful experience for everyone. Her hard work, alongside the enthusiasm of our students, made this year’s book fair and parade truly memorable. It was heartening to see so many young readers exploring new worlds through the pages of books, and we are grateful to Mrs Balogh-Cristo for her tireless work.

In the midst of Book Week celebrations, we also took a moment to honour a significant milestone for several of our students who received their First Communion last Sunday. This sacred rite of passage was a beautiful expression of their growing faith, and we are incredibly proud of them. As they continue to walk in their faith journey, we hope they feel the warmth of our community’s support and the strength that comes from their connection to their faith.

A special thank you to Mrs Karen El-Hazhem who prepared the student choir for the 10.30am mass. The children sounded beautiful and represented the school well. Also, thank you to the staff who attended the celebrations and supported the parish and students. This shows true community spirit.

This week, we also celebrated our Father’s Day Stall, which was a big hit with the students. They took great care in selecting gifts, each one chosen with love and thoughtfulness. Tomorrow, we look forward to continuing these celebrations with a special morning tea and liturgy for the wonderful fathers and father figures in our community. It is a time for us to come together, give thanks, and recognise the important role fathers play in our lives.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to open our classrooms on Monday afternoon for a special Maths open classroom event. It is an opportunity for parents to see firsthand the incredible work their children are doing in Maths and for students to proudly share their learning with their families. We cannot wait to welcome you into our classrooms and celebrate the joy of learning together.

This week has been a true testament to the strength and vibrancy of our school community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to these events, making them as successful and meaningful as they were.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind Regards,

Grace
