SchoolTV Update - Health Study Habits

SchoolTV has launched new content on healthy study habits. Academic success is intertwined with the study habits students develop from an early age. Whilst schools strive to develop these habits within the classroom, the role of parents and guardians in reinforcing them at home is equally important. Healthy study habits not only improve a child’s ability to absorb and retain information but also help them to manage stress, maintain focus, and foster a lifelong love for learning. It is essential for students to recognise that good study habits aren't merely about spending extra hours hitting the books. It's more about quality over quantity and having a balanced approach. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle that includes taking breaks, having sufficient sleep, a balanced diet, and consistent physical activity will impact your child's ability to study effectively.

Student Procedures – Late Arrivals and Early Departures

All parents are reminded of the following procedures we have in place for students across Kindergarten to Year 6 when arriving late or departing early from School.

Late Arrivals:

  • All K to 6 students who arrive late to School must sign in at Reception so that they do not receive the absence SMS and email.

Early Departures:

  • All Years K to 6 students must report to Reception to sign out.
  • All Years K to 2 students must have a parent pick them up from Reception.
  • All Years 3 to 6 students have permission to meet a parent directly at the gate only if there is a note in the instructions on the Early departure form and if a parent calls Reception when they are at the gate so the student can be sent out to meet them. Without a call to Reception students are not permitted to meet elsewhere on campus. If parents are late, students cannot be left waiting without supervision.

Thank you for your support of these important procedures to ensure the safety of all students.
