Year 7 to Year 9
It was wonderful to see all our Middle School students return to Salvado Catholic College on Monday with renewed enthusiasm and energy for the term ahead. With the more relaxed summer uniform now in effect, we are all preparing for the warmer and windier weather—along with the inevitable arrival of a few more flies!
Term Four has already started off strong with plenty of activity. During Wellbeing Wednesday, year group assemblies and PCG activities were held, and our Year Coordinators did a fantastic job providing guidance and support for this important final term of 2024. Our dedicated PCG teachers will also play a crucial role each day, helping students stay focused and do their best as they work toward their End of Year reports, which will include a PCG comment.
We’re also looking forward to our Year Eight Representatives leading the Secondary Assembly on Friday morning in the CAS. These students will present to the entire secondary cohort, staff, and attending parents/caregivers, reflecting on the many memorable events from Term Three.
Next week, all Secondary students will hear from Amelia from Atomi during Wellbeing Wednesday. Atomi (https://www.getatomi.com/au) is a powerful learning platform that all students have access to and should be using as part of their classroom learning and study routine. Amelia’s presentation will assist students in preparing for upcoming tests, which will play a key role in their report grades. Additionally, in the Senior School News, you’ll find information on a platform available to Year 9 students to support them as they prepare for the OLNA.
As always, we remind parents and caregivers that Seqta – Engage is available for you to stay updated on what your children are learning and any upcoming assessments. The Daily Notices also provide important information to help keep our students organised and engaged in College activities. If you would like more information on Atomi or Seqta, feel free to email me at: Brendan.mcgrath@cewa.edu.au
