In Term Four, we have two big Friends of Salvado events to look forward to! Check them out below!

Primary School Disco 2024

 

 

 

Our Primary school disco for 2024 will be held in the covered assembly space on Friday 18 October! There will be three sessions: 

  • Session 1 - Kindy & Pre-Primary (4pm-5pm); 
  • Session 2 – Years 1-3 (5.15pm-6.15pm); and 
  • Session 3 – Years 4-6 (6:30pm-7:30pm). 

 

 

 

 

 

Due to space and for the enjoyment of the younger children especially, parents are encouraged to drop kids off at their disco where we’ll have volunteers and staff on hand. They can be collected from the exit door upon conclusion of their disco time slot. However, if a child requires their parent/guardian to stay, only one parent per child can enter the assembly space. Parents and other siblings can bring a camp chair or picnic rug and sit on the grassed area near the CAS with other families while waiting on your child’s session to finish.

 

If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, they’re on sale NOW via Quickcliq and cost $8 per Primary School child. Ticket price includes entry for that child, a drink and sausage sizzle (provided after each session).

 

How to order tickets

When ordering your ticket please select student(s) class from the list and then enter their name(s) and class(es) (i.e. Joe Bloggs – 1G) and any dietary requirements in the Notes section before you pay and place your order.

 

We’re keeping things simple this year so there’s no theme, just a fun disco with great music for all our Primary School kids to enjoy with their friends. So wear a favourite outfit of your choice and bring your best dance moves!

Colour Explosion School Run 4 Fun

 

Our Colour Explosion Run 4 Fun will be held on Friday 22 November! Students have already received a sponsorship book with instructions on setting up their cybersafe, online fundraising profile at www.australianfundraising.com.au.

 

This is a College event so it is open to all students from Kindy to Year 10. We need lots of volunteers so if you’d love to come join in the fun with set up, packing away and blast everyone in colour powder please email to let us know - fos@salvado.wa.edu.au.

 

 

A bit about this fundraiser:

Not only are we hosting an awesome Colour Explosion Run 4 Fun, students can order up to a total of 5 prizes based on their donations received. They can even mix and match! Don’t want the prizes? Donate your donations to one of the following causes:

  • Carbon Neutral (tree planting) 
  • Great Barrier Reef Foundation (coral planting or turtle protection) 
  • The Smith Family (reading support)  
  • OzHarvest (providing meals)

This is an entirely online fundraiser. All cash donations must be converted to online donations to redeem your prizes.

 

Extra Incentives to Fundraise!

Call for Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers for the following upcoming events:

  • Primary School Disco on Friday 18 October 2024 – to help with set up, pack down, entry and exit, supervising disco and sausage sizzle
     
  • Colour Explosion Run4Fun on 22 November 2024 – help setting up on the day and also help organising obstacle course (tyres, rope climb, etc). We are open to amazing ideas and donations of items! It's so much fun! You'll love helping at this one!
