P-2

As Term 3 comes to a close, our Prep to Year 2 students are busy consolidating their learning. They’ve revisited food vocabulary through "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and can now answer questions like "food favourite what" with confidence. This knowledge has been instrumental in their assessments, where they practiced using their hands to mark lists (list buoys). Mastering this skill enhances their communication by helping them effectively organize information for other signers. It's wonderful to see their progress and growth in such an important area. Keep up the hard work, and well done to all our students!

Year 7

Term 3 has been an exciting and challenging time for our Year 7 cohort. This term, students learned the signs for various Olympic sports and used this knowledge to create Depicting Signs—mini scenes with their hands—to represent each sport.

For their assessment, the "Entity of Legs Challenge," students used a list buoy to organize their six Olympic Depicting Sign scenes, combining their expression and signing skills. They have done a fantastic job showcasing their creativity and understanding, and they should be very proud of their achievements.

Well done to all our Year 7 students for their hard work!

Thank you,
