Secondary News

Badminton

On 20th August the Year 7 boys Badminton team competed at the Hume Region finals. The event was held in Shepparton against other finalist from around the Victorian region. The boys were very competitive but got a taste of how much effort and time is required to progress further through to the state level.

Well done, Neo, Seth, Oska, Ned, and Griffin!!

State Cross Country

On July 18th we had 10 students from Seymour College make it through to the state cross country. From the Primary school we had Niall, Jaxon, Lucinda, and Mason. In Secondary, Luke, Jessie, Jordan, and Jacinta made up our Inclusive team all running well but some impacted by the rain. Finally, secondary students, Sam and Ilaria had good runs in their age groups with Ilaria finishing 17th in the State!!

Clay Target Shooting Championships

On 8th August Seymour College had a shooting team attend the Echuca Clay Target Shooting Championships. The team had some great individual scores with Lachie O'Connor shooting a 16/20, but they were unable to progress. It was a great event, and we look forward to attending another event in October.

For secondary students interested please see Mr Thompson or Ms McClaren for further information.

Round Robin

The Term 3 Secondary Round Robin was held last Monday for Students in years 7-10. They competed in Table Tennis, Basketball, and Dodgeball. The Seymour College students were very competitive in the dodgeball against a large cohort of students from around the region! But our standout group was the year 8 Boys Table Tennis team who won the final and will progress to the next level.
