Dear Families,
Thank you to Mel Woods and the entire staff for Thursday's fantastic Athletics Carnival. It was such a brilliant day watching our students compete, encouraging their peers, and celebrating personal achievements. As parents, you should be so proud of the manner in which your children conduct themselves.
You may have noticed the consistent entry and exit routines that all teachers use when walking around the school. This practice promotes calm and orderly movement around our school and ensures that our students are really clear on what is expected. Tomorrow, we will welcome the coaches from Classroom Mastery, who are working with every school in Sandhurst to observe our routines and offer feedback on how we can be even better. Magnify Sandhurst has provided access to these amazing resources, ensuring that every child, in every classroom, in every school has opportunities for high-quality instruction.
2026 Foundation Enrolments - CLOSE FRIDAY
We have had a wonderful response to our 2026 Foundation enrolment period, with many new and existing families attending our school tours and information evening. Families wanting to enrol their child at St Therese's for Foundation 2026 are encouraged to complete an online Enrolment Application via our school website. Enrolments are closing this Friday.
Important Notice for Existing Families: If you have a child eligible to commence Foundation in 2026, please ensure you complete an online enrolment. Applications must be submitted by 23 May to guarantee your place.
Catholic Education Matters (Repeat)
Catholic Education Sandhurst has recently launched a podcast, Catholic Education Matters. With two episodes already released, families are encouraged to tune in to the podcast via their preferred streaming service.
Education isn’t just about what happens in the classroom, it’s about the people, the heart, and the purpose behind it all.
That’s why this podcast explores the big ideas and every day moments that shape learning in our schools, from the latest research and innovative teaching practices to the real stories of educators, students and parents.
With insights from respected leaders, expert guests and voices from our 56 schools and kindergartens across regional Victoria, we’ll keep asking the question: What matters in education? ~ Catholic Education Matters Podcast
Principal Lighthouse Awards
This week's recipients are:
Yr 6 School leaders
Harriet, Darby, James, Tessa, Bella and Reid
Our Year 6 School leaders co-led all our 2026 Foundation School Tours. They spoke with confidence and clarity and were amazing ambassadors of our school. I could not be prouder of this group of students. Thank you for making our enrolment process so polished.
Supervision Hours (Repeat)
Please note the schoolyard is unsupervised before 8:30 am. There are still many, many children on the grounds prior to this time. For the safety of your children, I am asking that they are not dropped off at school before 8:30 am.
