Year Four - Spotlight on Learning

Jericho Community

Dear Families,

Week 2 was fantastic full week of learning. We hope your child has shared some of the learning and experiences from this week with you.

Students finished listening to our class novel 'Ralph & Leo' in which they learnt the value of making positive and meaningful friendships. Students also put the final touches on their narratives and putting it all together to make a coherent story.

Students continued their learning around heroes in Religious Education. They identified and named qualities Indigenous Australians who fought in World War 1 and 2 showed in order to make them heroes in our eyes.

To conclude the learning for the week, students got to participate in a mock election. This was a great experiences for students as they got to see how voting works and what Australian Citizens will be doing on Saturday when we go to the polls for our Federal Elections. Students also learnt about the purpose of our government and democracy.
