Under 15s New England Zone Touch Championship
On Friday, 27th February, the Under 15s New England Zone Touch Championship was held at the Inverell Sporting Complex, a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and school spirit.
Our girls team, a very young side with plenty of potential, had a strong day, finishing with two impressive wins and just one loss, narrowly missing out on a place in the grand final. Their effort, maturity and composure against older opposition was particularly impressive and highlights an exciting future ahead.
Our boys team also showed great determination throughout the day, with several close matches and narrow losses unfortunately ending their championship campaign. Their resilience and teamwork were outstanding across the competition.
A big thank you to Mr Thomas for his organisation and leadership in ensuring the day ran smoothly.
We are incredibly proud of the effort, sportsmanship and pride shown by all players and look forward to building on this year’s performances when the championship returns next year.
NRLW Clinic Visit
On Friday, 27th February, we were thrilled to host an incredible NRLW clinic led by Georgia Roache and her assisting staff.
Students had the opportunity to learn directly from one of the game’s best, taking part in a range of engaging rugby league skills and drills focused on passing, game awareness and teamwork. The session provided valuable insight, plenty of energy and a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
To conclude a wonderful afternoon, Georgia proudly presented the school with a jersey — a special memento that will serve as a lasting reminder of a truly memorable visit.
A big thank you to Georgia and her team for inspiring our students and sharing their passion for the game!
Well done Hollie
Hollie W represented the NSW Barbarians Girls Under 19s Cricket Team at the All Schools Cricket Carnival in Tuggerah last week.
