Year 7 PE Activities
Year 7 have been loving their first PE unit on modified games. They are exploring a wide range of activities and building their skills in teamwork and sportsmanship.
Year 11 Aboriginal Studies
Year 11 Aboriginal Studies students are diving deep into Australia’s past, learning about Colonisation and early Australian history. They are also exploring the traditional lifestyles and customs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, gaining valuable insights into rich cultural heritage and resilience.
Exam Preparations
Our senior students have hit the ground running this term. They are currently completing assessment tasks and preparing for the Half-Yearly Examinations that commence Friday 27th March Week 9.
Stage 6 Dance Students
Our Stage 6 Dance students are unleashing their creativity by choreographing original dances based on unique concepts and ideas. They’re also honing their skills to deliver powerful and polished performances. Exciting movement and expression in the making!
Year 9 Aboriginal Studies
Our Year 9 Aboriginal Studies students have been on an incredible journey of self-discovery! They've been creating a cultural profile which explores their family origins, creating family trees and also deeply investigating their own identities. This meaningful work connects them to their heritage and strengthens their understanding of who they are.
Year 11 Health and Movement Science
Year 11 Health and Movement Science students were running the stairs as part of their study on the cardiorespiratory system. This practical activity helped develop their understanding of how the heart, lungs, and blood vessels work together to supply oxygen and energy during movement. Students gained valuable insights into the importance of cardiovascular fitness in everyday activities and sports. This simple activity deepened their knowledge of human physiology and movement science interactively.
Talented Sporting Program
Our talented sporting program students have been diving deep into the science of aerobic and anaerobic training thresholds. By investigating these key concepts, they are gaining a solid understanding of how the body responds to different intensities of exercise. Equipped with this knowledge, students are now designing tailored training programs that effectively target the specific needs of athletes, optimising performance and enhancing athletic development. This hands-on approach is empowering our young athletes to train smarter and reach their full potential.
