New Basketball Court Opening

On the 1st of July 2025, the new Basketball Court was opened in Area R with many people coming to have a look. At the opening ceremony, someone would have to make a perfect shot into the hoop.

The opening was very challenging with teachers and Year 9 leaders having a shot at trying to shoot the ball into the hoop. Everyone was unable to complete the challenge but one person was the only one to successfully shoot the ball into the hoop. That person was the one and only, Mr Kamener.

Everyone waited such a long time for our new basketball court to be built and opened and our very long, tiring wait has finally come to an end. Games were also held at the basketball court as a way for everyone to have fun before the courts became crowded at recess and lunch.

They also provided us with a sitting area & playing area on the side of the court for kids to play on. Not to forget, there’s also toilets next to the new court so if you really want to play but need to go to the bathroom, you won’t waste any playtime. Isn’t that just amazing?

Huge thanks to our amazing building team for taking their time to build our very own basketball court. Their dedication, commitment and persistence leaves a lasting impression on our school.

Athletics day

Between the 23rd - 27th of June, Year 3 - 9 had their own Athletics Day's at the Western Athletics venue in Werribee. Most kids had a blast! On the Year 5 and 6 athletics day, they had experienced some bad weather with constant rain and wind. Sadly it was quickly cancelled.

Athletics isn’t just about running, but dressing up in your house colors! We saw many black shirts with handprints of their colour across the year levels or some costumes, and just their colour shirt! Lots of people had different designs on what they were wearing.

Athletics included activities such as shot put, discus, high jump, triple jump, 50-meter sprint, 100-meter run, and 400-meter run!

Year 9 volunteers came to help. They were cleaning up due to the bad weather and the games continued! So thank you to the volunteers who came to help with the extreme weather!

Pyjama day

On the 3rd of July, Pyjama day happened! People wore extremely cute onesies, and we also saw some dinosaur pyjamas. It was extremely cool to watch people in their pyjamas. It was also a great way to end the second last day of Term Two.

-I think it was kinda fun, I mean it was easy to get up and go school! - Josh 6E

- It was a fun day! It was definitely different. It was also pleasant to have our warm, snuggly pajamas on a cold, gloomy day! - Rachel Robinson

Pyjama Day

For our Community Projects class, Violet and I decided to organise a whole-school Pyjama Day. Our goal was to create a fun, inclusive event that everyone could enjoy.

We came up with the idea together and shared it with Miss Pettinella, who was very supportive and encouraged us to present it to Mr Bayard. After reviewing our plan, Mr Bayard approved it and recommended that we speak to Mrs Amanda for final permission. She also loved the idea and encouraged us to design posters and promote the event across the school.

On the day of the event, it was wonderful to see students and staff all dressed in their pyjamas. The atmosphere was fun and very lively.

Violet and I were very pleased to see that our project was a success. It was a fun and rewarding experience that brought joy to the whole school.
