REMINDER NO SCHOOL MONDAY 21st JULY- TERM 2 starts TUESDAY 22nd

Dear Parents and Carers,

From next term, the newsletter will be distributed on a Monday afternoon. The first one for Term 3 will be Week 2, Monday, July 28th.

Thank you, another great term, we have battled all the coughs, colds, and flus and made it to the end. Thank you for all your support and encouragement throughout the term. An early reminder that we will be celebrating Grandparents Day on Friday, 25th July. We will have a whole school Mass, followed by morning tea and activities in the classrooms. All are welcome.

Today we farewell Mrs Karen Faulwetter. I would like to thank her for her contribution to our school over the past couple of years. Our staff, students, and parents thank you for all you have done here and wish you all the best as you move on. We are going to miss your dedication, respect for the truth, sense of humour, and love of learning. Please keep in contact and let us know how you are doing.

Next week we celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025 from July 6th to 13th July. The theme this year is "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy". This theme celebrates the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week and focuses on honoring the past while looking towards the future. It highlights the strength and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people, acknowledging the wisdom passed down through generations.

The theme encourages celebrating the achievements of the past and looking towards a bright future shaped by the strength of young leaders, the vision of communities, and the legacy of ancestors. It's a call to action to ensure that the groundwork laid today will empower the next generation.

Enjoy the break, and we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, 22nd July

Keep Smiling

Cathy
