1/2M Join Us In Our Journey

We continue our cosmic journey this term with lots of AMAZING learning.

Writing:  We have been learning about sequencing our writing. We use words such as then, after that, later that day. These sequencing words are used in many genres such as recounts and story telling.

Reading and Religion:  We have also learned how to write facts for our geograpghy topic, 'Continents of the World'. This week we focused on the country of Morrocco which features in a picutre story book called 'Mirror' by Jeannie Baker. We learned about churches called Mosques which are Isalmic places of worship. We created beutiful symmetrical art of Morroco, using shape, lines and colour. It is to reflect the cultures love of symmetry in their buildings and art. Symmetry and Pattern are parts of learning the maths too!

Numeracy:  WOW! We love learning all about the tools we can use to add and subtract numbers. We've used games such as Race to 20 and numberlines too. It's been challenging but we feel so proud of our efforts. We know that even though something may appear hard to begin with, we can practise and practise again so our confidence grows each time we use a new strategy. We also like to revise our quick number facts using an online maths site called ICT Maths. It helps us to really practise our mental maths skills at different levels.

Thanks for joining us on our learning journey 😊 Ms Marigliano
