DCS Founders, Association Members, past staff and students, are invited to join us tomorrow, Thursday 19th June, for our 2025 Founder’s Day Celebration Walk and Morning Tea, a special journey through our school’s present day. As we stroll through the grounds, we will pause at various locations to enjoy presentations by current students, before gathering in the Jiloa Centre for morning tea, reflection, and celebration.
At DCS we deeply value our heritage and honouring the Founders who embraced the vision of bringing Christian education to Devonport. We are grateful to many who continue to pray for our school and those who are able to financially sow into the school with tax deductible donations to our building fund. We are especially excited to share updates on our future new Year 9/10 Centre building project which is well underway. The near future, in 2026, DCS will be educating Kinder through to Year 10 students and have projected over 460 students.
We will gather at the Jiloa Centre at 9:15am tomorrow. A delicious hot beverage will be available before we commence our ‘DCS Celebration Walk’ at 9:30am.
Please RSVP through the following link: 2025 Founder’s Day RSVP or call 6423 1373 by Friday 13th June.
At Devonport Christian School, we’re building more than just classrooms; we’re creating a Christ-centred legacy for generations.
As our school community grows to include Year 10 in Secondary, so does the need for modern spaces that support learning, creativity, and well-being. Earlier this year, we began construction on our most significant building to date, our new Year 9/10 Centre, a $6.5 million project that will include a Secondary Science Laboratory and Theory Classroom, a Secondary Food Technology Centre (Commercial Kitchen) and a Visual Arts Studio, a Design Technology Hub, five General Learning Classrooms, and an open community gathering space connected to our Jiloa Centre by a walkway bridge.
Approximately 90% of this cost will be funded by the school building fund and bank loans, and 10% by government grants. This is where we turn to you, our community, to prayerfully consider playing a part.
We would like to invite you to make a donation. No matter the amount, every gift to the Devonport Christian School Building Fund makes a difference.
Every donation is tax-deductible, and anything contributed before 30 June 2025 can be included in your 2025 tax return.

DCS Enrolments 2026-2030: What a joy it is to see the DCS community flourishing!
God continues to bless our school with strong interest from families seeking a Christ-centred education and we’re humbled to be receiving enrolment enquiries all the way through to 2030!
If you are already part of our beautiful DCS family and have younger children due to start in 2026, 2027, 2028 or beyond (or siblings for other levels including secondary), we would love to hear from you. We have already begun processing 2026 and 2027 enrolments, and we want to make sure our current families are well-supported and prioritised during this exciting season of growth.
If you have not yet completed an Enrolment Enquiry form, please go to our school website https://www.dcs.tas.edu.au/enrolments/ and click on the enrolment enquiry button to complete an enquiry form.
If you are unsure whether you have submitted an enquiry, please don’t hesitate to reach out at enrolments@dcs.tas.edu.au and we will check for you. We are here to help and we value journeying alongside you as parents in faith and learning.
As we begin welcoming new enrolments into our growing DCS family, if you know of any family, friends, or community members who may be looking for a Christ-centred, nurturing school community like DCS, we warmly invite you to connect with our Enrolments Team via the above email and communicate with us about the family you are connected with, or reach out directly to our Principal, Chad Smit. We would be delighted to walk alongside them when opportunities open for new enrolments.
