Character Strengths

As we approach the holiday break, I’d like to remind all our families to continue talking about character strengths at home. Holidays are a wonderful time to reflect on and practise strengths like kindness, gratitude, bravery and teamwork in everyday moments—whether that’s helping a family member, trying something new, or showing persistence with a challenge. These conversations can help children build self-awareness, celebrate their unique qualities, and recognise the strengths in others. Even simple moments like sharing a meal, playing a game, or going for a walk can become meaningful when we take time to notice and name the strengths being used.

I also want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to our school community. I’ll be beginning maternity leave early in Term 3, and I feel incredibly grateful for the support and kindness I’ve received from staff, students and families.

Rest assured, the wonderful wellbeing work we’ve been doing together will continue with the talented and passionate staff at our school. I look forward to hearing about all the amazing things still to come.

With gratitude,
