Acting Principal

Mr Anthony Matthews

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We are nearly at the halfway mark of the year, which is a timely moment to be reminded of the joy that each of us gives in helping the students to learn and thrive.

On Sunday, we celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi and listened to the Gospel of the Feeding of the 5000, a powerful reminder of the joy that comes from community, compassion and shared abundance. As we continue through this week in Ordinary Time, we are invited to notice the joy and gratitude that Jesus offers us daily. It is a timely call to be thankful for the small blessings within our school community and to consider how we can share that joy with others.

Throughout this week, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to visit a number of classrooms and actively engage in teaching and learning with the students.  It has been a rewarding experience to connect with students in this way, and I look forward to visiting the remaining year groups in the final week of Term 2.

On Friday, you will receive your child's Semester One report. This report provides an important reflection of your child’s learning progress and achievements throughout the semester.

In the last week of the term, the scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place. These meetings provide a valuable moment to reflect on your child’s growth and progress. These conversations are not only a review of past goals but an important time to set clear, forward-looking strategies to support each students learning journey. We thank you for partnering in this process.

Throughout Term 3, several staff members will be taking planned leave. We want to reassure you that all classes will be covered by qualified teachers, and the learning will continue. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your continued partnership in helping our students learn, grow, and thrive.

As we approach the final week of the term, let us give thanks for the learning, growth, and community spirit that have marked Term 2. We look forward to finishing the term with energy and gratitude.

Many thanks

Anthony Matthews
