During Week 9, all grade 2 to 6 students at Wimba had the opportunity to engage in swimming lessons at Saltwater Swim School in Truganina. Students had lessons catered to their experience and ability level to ensure that everyone had the chance to make progress. Many of our students picked up some key swimming skills that we hope to build on in the years to come!

Foundation to Grade 2

For Term 2 students have been focusing on object control skills that they can use with their hands. Earlier in the term they completed their work on the overarm and underarm throw. They recently learned about skills that can be used in sports like Netball, Basketball and Handball. This includes the chest, bounce and overhead pass, along with bouncing/dribbling a basketball.
