We congratulate all students for their dedication, effort, and sportsmanship throughout the day. It was wonderful to see so many students challenging themselves and striving to achieve their personal best.
A special congratulations to Ollie Slattery, Matilda Reed, and William Hamblin, who have qualified for the Division Swimming Championships. We wish them the very best in the next stage of competition.

Year 2 visit Healesville Sanctuary
Student Reflections
Last Wednesday we went to Healesville Sanctuary. It took one hour to get there! The sanctuary is a safe place for animals that are endangered or injured.
The Tassie Devil was the highlight of my day because they ran 3 laps around their garden. When they stopped they were tired so they had a rest .
After all that we had lunch and then we had a lesson with Lisa. We learnt about the Helmeted Honeyeater who is an endangered bird.

Last week we went on a long bus ride to Healesville Sanctuary. When we got there we were put into small groups and then off we went.
My favorite animals were the koala, echidnas and kangaroos. I would recommend going with your family - it is amazing!
My favorite marsupial was the koala. I learned that it sleeps 20 hours out of 24 hours. WOW! They sleep so much because they have a diet of only eucalyptus leaves and that is why they sleep so much.

Healesville Sanctuary is a wonderful and safe place for Australian Animals. There are lots of things to see and do.
I think energetic animals are the best, whereas the animals that sleep all day and camouflage are hard to see. The Tasmanian Devils and the Smoky Mouse were my favorite animals.
The “Spirits of the Sky” show was the highlight of my day! I loved the Wedge Tailed Eagle’s wings and Millie the owl’s pretty yellow eyes.
I learned that a kangaroo is called ‘Mirim’ and a crow is called ‘Wah’ because of the sound it makes. I laughed a lot when the wombat snored in my face!
I think you should go to Healesville Sanctuary sometime soon with your family. You will love it!
