Cultural Celebrations

Dear BEPS Community,
About Ramadan
During the holy month of Ramadan, which began on the evening of 27th of February (some on the 1st of March), many Muslim families in our school community fast from sunrise to sunset.
This means they do not eat or drink during daylight hours. Ramadan is a very special time when Muslims focus on prayer, reading their holy book called the Quran, and helping others through charitable giving.
At the end of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate with a wonderful festival called Eid al-Fitr where families gather together for delicious meals and often give gifts to children.
This week during assembly, Inaya from Year 6 presented some insightful information about Ramadan.
Thank you, Inaya. Here is the presentation that she created:
Ramadan Kareem (Blessed Ramadan) to the families celebrating Ramadan.
About Holi
During this week’s assembly Rithik and Kavish, from Year 6, gave us all some insightful information about the Hindu celebration of Holi, also known as the Festival of Colours.
This year it is celebrated on Friday 14th of March.
To the BEPS community celebrating Holi – We wish you a joyous Holi!
Thank you, Rithik and Kavish, for your presentation:
