Year 10 Work Experience – Preparing for 2025

On Friday 28 February, the Work Related Skills team presented to our Year 10 students about the 2025 Work Experience Program, outlining key dates, requirements and the benefits of participating. It was fantastic to see students engaged, asking insightful questions and already starting to organise their placements.

Work experience is a valuable opportunity for students to explore career interests, develop workplace skills and build confidence in a professional setting. We encourage parents to review the presentation shared via Compass and start a conversation with their child about potential placements. Your support in helping them secure a meaningful experience will be invaluable.

Key Details:

  • Work Experience Week: June 16 – 20, 2025 (no classes this week)
  • Alternative Options: Any school holiday period during the academic year
  • Deadline for Placement Confirmation & Paperwork Submission: May 1 2025

If you have any questions, please contact the Careers Office for guidance and support. Let’s work together to ensure this is a rewarding and enriching experience for our Year 10 students!

Term 1 Interim Reports & Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences

Teachers are currently preparing Term 1 Interim Reports, which will be available to parents and students via Compass on Wednesday 26 March. These reports provide valuable feedback on each student’s learning behaviours and indicate whether their progress has been satisfactory across all subjects.

With our continuous reporting model on Compass, families can access assessment tasks and teacher feedback as they are completed. A summary of all assessments will also be included in the Semester Reports.

We encourage families to take this opportunity to review the Interim Reports, celebrate the achievements of Term 1 and set goals for the remainder of the semester.

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences

On Friday 21 March, families will receive information via Compass regarding our upcoming Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences, with bookings opening on the same day. These conferences provide an opportunity for you and your child to meet with teachers, discuss academic progress and set learning goals.

During the conference, teachers will share insights into your child’s strengths, areas for improvement, and strategies for success. Students are also encouraged to reflect on their learning and discuss any challenges they may be facing.

Conference Details:

📅 Friday 3 April | 3:45 PM – 7:00 PM

📅 Friday 4 April | 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Student-Free Day)

📍 Kildare Campus

These conferences are a valuable opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to reach their full potential.

We look forward to meeting with you.
