We'd love to have family come along to help out and cheer on the students. The more helpers, the better! If you're able to assist on the day, please contact Dominique Monotti via dominique.monotti@sjvparkdale.catholic.edu.au . Many thanks to those who have already said they can help.
Run Club
With House Cross Country on tomorrow, we will take a break from Run Club. We will start again next week and continue in Term 2 in preparation for District Cross Country.
All grade 3-6 students are invited to join the Run Club on Friday mornings. We meet at Walter Galt Reserve 8:15 AM, and students will be escorted to school once finished.
Please let Dominique Monotti know if your child is interested, even if they may not be able to attend every week. We’d also love for parents to be involved. Thanks to all that have been coming along. Its been great to see the energy and enthusiasm.
AFL Skills Coaching with SEDA
We’ve had an exciting opportunity here at school as students from the SEDA Diploma program have been coming in to coach our students in AFL football skills. Over the past couple of weeks, the SEDA students have been working hard on developing their own coaching techniques while teaching essential AFL skills, including handpassing, kicking, marking, and dodging.
These sessions have provided our students with valuable hands-on experience and the chance to refine their abilities in a supportive and fun environment. The coaching from the SEDA students has been engaging, and it’s clear that both groups are benefiting from the collaboration. Our students have gained confidence in their AFL skills, while the SEDA students have been able to apply their learning in real-world situations.
We’re grateful for the SEDA students’ dedication and look forward to continuing this fantastic partnership in the future!
