School Attendance

Regular school attendance is vital to your child's academic progress, social interactions and mental wellbeing.

Please note -

Regular doctor and dentist appointments should be made for out of school hours (school holidays are a great time to catch up on these appointments)
Specialist appointments sometimes are more difficult to schedule - if these are going to be frequent, please alert your child's teacher.
Travel during school terms is not encouraged- please alert your child's teacher in advance if you will be travelling during school time.
Any travel in Australia or overseas that equals an absence of school for 10 or more days must be approved by Mrs Dinale. The form for this application can be collected from the office in person or electronically.
The Compass Portal displays student absenteeism as
80 - 89% attendance = emerging absenteeism
70-79% attendance = chronic absenteeism
60-69% attendance = complex absenteeism
CSBB has processes of support in place is absenteeism becomes an issue for your child and family. Please reach out to your class teacher or office if you need support.
