Grade 5 & 6 

We started this week with a THINKUKNOW presentation by the Horsham Police. They shared ways for children to stay safe online and on social media. The children were very engaged in the discussion. In numeracy, we have been learning about time. To support your child’s learning, you could ask them questions about reading time, calculating elapsed time, and understanding timetables.

In religion, we have begun our unit on Solidarity and discussed that solidarity means working together as a group to achieve a common goal.

We have continued our literacy unit on the text War Horse and have been writing our own narratives. In the coming weeks, we will begin persuasive writing.

There have been lots of questions from the Grade 5 students about buddies. More information will come towards the end of the term. 

It is going to be a VERY Busy and VERY exciting term, which no doubt will fly by.
