Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day
Dear Families,
What a week of weather! We feel for the community of Sacred Heart, Casterton, which was severely impacted by the storm this week. They are currently closed to assess damage and clean up.
A few families have asked about the building project and plans for 2025. In the next few weeks, I will be running a community meeting to share any updates and will also send home a letter so please stay tuned for this.
We are looking forward to celebrating Mission Day next Friday. The children have been planning and organising, and it sounds like a lot of fun.
Dental Van notes are being sent home today and are due back next Friday. Last year, the Dental van was not able to staff their visit. I have spoken with them about this, and I hope all goes well this year. They are due here the week of November 11th.
Next week, Jane will take some well-earned long service leave. This means that the office may not be staffed all the time. We welcome Megan who will be in the office for a couple of hours each morning to help us out.
Please note that Jane is away next week, and Mission Day is on Friday, so there will be no newsletter next week.
Next Friday, Oct 25th, is World Teachers Day. I feel incredibly grateful that we have such wonderful staff here at SMJ to educate our children. This includes every single adult in our school. There are always so many teachable moments in a day. So it might be a week early but I need to celebrate these incredible people.
In this time of Mission, may we always acknowledge with gratitude the great things in our own lives and remember to support those around us who may need our help.
Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing.
God bless
Louise
