Student Leadership

As the year draws to a close, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the outstanding efforts of our School Representative Council (SRC) and celebrate the incredible leadership and dedication they have shown throughout the year. It’s been a true privilege to work alongside this remarkable group of students, and I couldn’t be prouder of all they’ve accomplished.

This year, our SRC members have truly gone above and beyond, helping to organise and participate in a variety of school events that brought our community together. From the Secondary Youth Leadership Conference, to Harmony Week, the Cultural Showcase, and the Leadership Challenge, they have led by example, always eager to contribute their time and ideas to make these events special. They’ve also been involved in Discovery Night, Positivity Week, Production Nights, Appreciation Day, Battle of the Bands, and Transition Day, to name just a few. No event was too big or too small for this team, and their enthusiasm and energy were felt in everything they did.

A special shout-out is needed for our amazing Year 12 SRC leaders: Avleen, Mila, Amrit, and Eva. As our school captains and vice-captains, these four have shown exceptional leadership, guiding the SRC with grace, maturity, and a real passion for making our school a better place. Their vision and commitment have shaped the year in so many positive ways, and as they graduate this year, we want to thank them for their years of hard work and inspiration.

But they weren’t alone! A big thank you also goes to the rest of our Year 12 SRC team: Chhavi, Ekjot, Kanar, Marwa, Taseen, Nimo, Nada, Gurleen, and Sharath. These students have supported the SRC in countless ways, whether it was through event planning, giving feedback on school initiatives, or lending a hand at every turn. Their teamwork, creativity, and commitment to our school community have made this year truly memorable.

Together, this incredible group of students has helped shape the school year in so many ways—from organising vibrant school-wide events to providing valuable feedback on curriculum and participating in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) sessions. Their work has ensured that students’ voices were heard and that our school continued to grow as a supportive, dynamic, and inclusive environment.

As our year 12s prepare to step into the next chapter of their lives, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to all of them—and to the entire SRC—for the positive impact they’ve had on our school. Your leadership, dedication, and passion have left an indelible mark on our community, and we will certainly miss your energy and vision.

Congratulations to all of you, and thank you for making this year unforgettable! We’re excited to see what you all accomplish in the future, and we know you’ll continue to shine wherever life takes you.
