What's happening in the Prep room?

Our Inquiry topic this term "Our Country" will focus on different significant places around Australia including the different flora and fauna. This week we had a visit from Wildlife Xposure where students were able to learn more about native Australian animals and we even got to hold some!

Desert survivors - Infographics in STEM

Last term, the Year 5/6 students were learning about plants and animals that thrive in desert conditions. They learnt about the features of infographics, then chose a plant or animal to research and created their own infographics. Here is a small selection of them. What a great way to share new knowledge!

Autumn...a poem from Amelie in 4G

Autumn     

The red leaves on trees,

With hints of orange too,

Drifts down to the ground gracefully,

As if the leaves lifted up and flew.

As if the wind was as light as snow,

As if the breeze was as soft as clouds,

As if the owls weren’t already filled with know, 

As if the woods weren’t filled with loud howls.

Winter’s just a line away,

And the loving warm heat seems to be miles away,

For during these cold, chilly days,

Why play and play when you could just sleep away…
